How do I connect a Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) to a WiFi extender?

When setting up the new 2021 Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery), it does not give me the option to choose which WiFi I would like it to use, so setting it up outside on a WiFi extender seems impossible at the moment. Also when you go into the device settings when it is set up, there is no option for WiFi like on the other Nest devices. What am I missing here?
