Doorbell [-] zoom out icon only visible for 1 person

So my camera randomly zoomed in and the field of vision had been cut in half. Couldn't zoom out via pinching or pan outside of the new frame of reference. Made sure the app was updated, force restarted the app, and power cycled the doorbell via the pinhole, no dice.

Searching for solutions there is a supposed [-] icon to return to the original view. The icon was never visible for me and I even tried clicking spaces in the 'bottom left corner'. Checked other users in my household, and oddly enough the icon seems to be only visible to whoever changed the zoom angle. Hit the [-] icon on their phone and the issue was resolved for everyone.

Rather than hunting down the culprit, why isn't this button visible for anyone part of the 'home'?
