topic Nest Floodlight Cam Notification Previews Utterly Useless ? in Cameras and Doorbells

Hi, Purchased the Floodlight Nest Cam. Coming from Ring. I just wanted to make sure I'm seeing these notifications come in as they should, because if that's the case, they are completely useless. I'm on Pixel 6, when a notification comes in, I was hoping to see a GIF preview (as advertised), I only see a still image, and because there is few seconds pre-roll to recording an event, the image only shows me ~3 seconds BEFORE the person/car is in the activity zone, so essentially I only get an empty zone photo every time.... I've tried messing with the different settings in the Home App, but nothing really seems to change this.
I even purchased another Orbi Satellite and put it literally on the opposite wall of the camera, so it is not a wifi issue.
I don't mind the no GIF snapshot, but at least give me a photo of who/what is in my driveway ?
Is this working as intended ? (I am subscribed to Nest Aware)

Another issue I'm seeing is scrubbing the "sightline" event history timeline, seemingly random clips are able to be scrubbed and I can see the whole motion fast forward/reverse, but others just don't scrub, I get a pause until I let go of the scrubbing, then it plays from there.

I don't know, it seems half baked this whole thing. I hope the doorbell isn't this way, because I was planning on buying that.

Sadly yes. Google home and the newer cameras were rushed to market without enough time for testing. There is nothing wrong on your end. If you have used Nest Cameras and nest app this is not an issue. Google support will tell you better notifications are coming for google home …. Don’t hold your breath.
