Push Notification Sound

Why are my push notifications not making sound at all? I have the chime sound on, on the doorbell & they work. My notifications work perfectly. I just don’t hear a notification on my iPhone at all.

I saw a lot of people complaining about there needs to be an update to customize the sound, but I’m just trying to figure out how to get it period 😩

I have two indoor cameras and a hub, which they all work. Nest just doesn’t make any notifications that actually make me aware of something on my phone.

So you may have already checked this but in case you haven't: Go into the iPhone settings and scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN to either the NEST app or the GOOGLE HOME app (depending on which one you are using) and select it. Then select NOTIFICATIONS and scroll down the list until you see SOUND and make sure it is turned ON.
