Can't sign into Nest app on my streaming device

I just acquired a new streaming device and I was thrilled to see a Nest app included. My problem is that I cannot sign into the Nest app on the streaming device using the account connected to the account. I do have it in my Google Home App. I cannot add the new streaming device to my Google Home app. Is there any way to use the app on my streaming device?

Unfortunately, if you sign in with your Google account, and are not using an older Nest account, you can't use the Nest app on Apple TV or on Android TV I'm afraid.
