Nest Doorbell Double Notifications

We installed the Nest Doorbell on our house yesterday, and set up the notifications on both my and my husband's phones. For some reason I am getting double notified on my phone when things happen because I get a notification through my Gmail address as well as his Gmail address, and I can't figure out how to turn off notifications through his Gmail only.

Yes I do, my husband and I both get notifications from both of our emails on our phones. So how can we each turn off one side of it so that we only get one notification every time, without unlinking our emails?

It generally isn't going to be an option unless you unlink an account. Whomever is the account holder can check their settings and make those changes.
