Switch cameras on/off using time schedule

I'm currently using the home and away routines in the Google Home app to switch my cameras on and off (Nest cam battery), even while I'm home. Is there a way to perform this action using a time schedule? I've tried fiddling about with other available routines, but although I can set a time for a custom routine, I cannot adjust camera settings from it. Any suggestions?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

My main problem is that the home and away routines do not work properly with presence sensing (using the location of my mobile phone), so I'd like to be able to trigger these routines using a time schedule.

I've submitted the same feedback using the manner you described. I'm curious about the (if any) response I'll be getting from that channel. That said, is there anything you can contribute on this? So the issue with presence sensing and the ability for a time schedule on the home and away routines?

I would say Yes to what you asked. I think it could be any of those issues, unfortunately I do not know if this is a specific issue with your device, or an overall issue. We have had some issues with presence sensing bugs in the past, but they have all been resolved as far as i'm aware. But I know a new update for both the Nest app and Google Home Apps are rolling out in waves, so they may fix the issue.

Hi Brad,

There is no news from my end on this issue, I'm still experiencing the problem with the presence sensing and my wish to be able to turn cameras on and off using a time table. The latest update of Google Home was on the 21st of June, so maybe I haven't got the latest one yet. Let's see if I get another update in the next day or so.
