We cannot see the camera on the nest app.

we added it to google home and can see it but not on the nest app

Unfortunately, Google Nest decided to make its new cameras and doorbells (those released starting in the fall of 2021) work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com web page, while our older Google Nest cameras and doorbells are still administered and receive notifications in the Google Nest app. We discovered that when we bought a Google Nest Camera (Battery) in Sept. 2021; since then we've seen posts from many customers in this forum who have discovered the same thing.

Google Nest's General Manager and Vice President posted this justification for this 2-app approach back in Sept. 2021; there has been no update since: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Message-from-our-GM-Updates-for-our-Nest-customers/ba-p/17122
