Here's what Google Nest Help says: &lt;A href="https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9249728?hl=en" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9249728?hl=en&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And this "Moving guide for Nest devices" Google Nest Help page says the previous owner must first remove the camera before doing a factory reset: &lt;A href="https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11151047?hl=en" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11151047?hl=en&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But some customers in this forum have suggested that you can perform a full factory reset to get the doorbell working for you even if the previous owner hasn't removed the doorbell from your account. I can't find a definitive answer from Google Nest on whether this will succeed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Next doorbell</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We recently closed escrow on a home and it has the nest doorbell camera. We want to 1) make sure the old home owners don’t have access to it anymore and 2) connect to it ourselves. I attempted to try and connect it with the Google home app, but we need a QR code or a PIN. Is there a way to connect to it without those things? Is there a code on the physical doorbell that I can find… like if I remove it or something? Or are we out of luck and need to purchase a new one?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;There is a QR code on the back of the Nest Doorbell itself, you should be able to use, I do not know, however, if that ensures that noone else is watching.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
