Install electrical chime for nest wired doorbell

Hi there, I would like to install an electrical chime for my Google nest doorbell which I have hardwired using a transformer. I didn’t receive the chime connector to connect - so I want to know how can I connect an electrical chime if I have hardwired my nest doorbell.

It depends on which doorbell you have. If you have a Google Nest Doorbell (Battery), as indicated in your post, then you don't need a Chime Connector. If you have the older Google Nest Hello Doorbell, then you DO need a Chime Connection, which should have come with your doorbell.

Thanks. I have the nest doorbell (battery) which I have hardwired using a transformer. But now I would like to add a Honeywell electrical chime that connects to the Google nest doorbell. So when I press the button - I not only get visitor announcements but also a ding dong on the chime. My electrician thinks I need an adapter to charge the doorbell and then use the fork cable to connect the doorbell to the chime. Is that correct?

We have the Google Nest Hello Doorbells, but according to Google Nest's instructions, the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) with a chime is wired in the exact same way that a conventional doorbell with a chime is wired (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10732535?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DiOS) According to Google Nest, "the battery is trickle charged by the power that comes through the wires, and the doorbell runs off the battery charge" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11830989?hl=en). I believe that this is at a low-enough level to avoid triggering your chime, in the same way that the small light in a lighted doorbell is powered.
