I bought a Doorbell and used the Nest App. Email alerts are sent to my phone which helps. I recently purchased cameras and these are now tied to the Google Home app. I do NOT get email alerts only notiiifications for my new cameras--phone alerts me with a sound. But i don't always hear the sound if i am doing something that precludes hearing it. I prefer the email alert as well. I do not subscribe to Nest aware.. How can i gat both phone notifoications and email alerts with the Home App

Back on Sept. 29, 2021, Google Nest's Vice President did imply they would add this missing functionality to the Google Home app when he wrote: "we are committed to bringing the experiences and Nest devices you have come to love in the Nest app into the Home app" (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Message-from-our-GM-Updates-for-our-Nest-customers/ba-p/17122). However, there have been no updates at all since then.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

You can turn on the email notification on your Google Home app settings. On the home screen, tap Settings Notifications. Select Email Notifications and tap the switch to turn notifications on. Learn more here.

We cannot get email alerts for camera or doorbell events in the Google Home app, and the app-wide "Email Notifications" option under Notifications that you referenced in the Google Home app is only for things like a monthly home report.

You must allow notifications@nest.com. Whitelist it if necessary. Also, check the spam folder to make sure emails from Nest are not landing there. Let me know how it goes.

Please read my post again. Your reply is irrelevant. NO CUSTOMER can get email alerts for camera or doorbell alerts in the Google Home app because the option does not exist. The new cameras and doorbells that work ONLY with the Google Home app can ONLY send push notifications to our phones. Numerous customers in this forum have complained about the lack of an email option for camera and doorbell alerts with the new cameras and doorbells that work ONLY in the Google Home app.

Your earlier post is simply incorrect. It is NOT possible to turn on email notifications for camera and doorbell alerts because there is no option to do so. As I pointed out, the option to which you referred is ONLY for things like a monthly home report, which has NOTHING to do with camera or doorbell alerts.

See the screen shot below, showing there is NO email option for cameras in the Google Home app:
