Are there any published specs on maximum distance a wired device may be mounted?

Is the only requirement that the local wifi be accessible?

EXAMPLE:

Gate to home 400 feet from home. Local wifi has been extended to the gate via CAT 7 to a wifi router using AI mesh. We want to install a doorbell AND a cam with floodlights.

Hi gras, I'm an end user like you. From what you describe it should be 100% solid since the wifi router will be super close to where you are putting the camera. Even though it is running thru a very long cable that becomes irrelivant as there is zero loss thru the cable.
