    <description>&lt;P&gt;I've spent 6 hours and 3 calls factory resetting, installing and uninstalling, etc. There is nothing more I can do. This needs to be fixed by a coder at Google. Terrible product, customer experience, and customer service.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi All, I recently purchased a brand new nest Cam Battery and I am having trouble viewing the live video in the Google home app. I tried removing a readding the camera, resetting the camera, turning it off and on. I tried changing the video settings like resolution (max and high). I also have older version of nest Cam (wired) and this one works OK. It is not my Internet connection issue as on average I have 25Mbps upload and 200Mbps download speed. I am having this issue on my galaxy note 10 plus mobile but my wife has the same problem on her iPhone X. Any ideas how to make the live video working?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I recently installed 3 nest cams. 2 work great, the other I get notifications and see the video but can’t view live video in the app. Is this a wireless signal issue or am I missing something?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;One of the camera is about 20’ away outdoors and I would say similar distance to my wireless router.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Unfortunately, when the battery camera is &lt;U&gt;NOT&lt;/U&gt; plugged in, it is in "&lt;EM&gt;Idle&lt;/EM&gt;" mode until it wakes up for an event.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;It wouldn't be a problem if I could set the zones for the camera. However, without live view I am not able to set the zones and the camera will trigger on every pedestrian passing my drive. Is that normal? I don't think so. I should be able to set the zones without the power cable. I have also tried the live view on camera connected to the standard USB charger but no luck so far.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If you search this forum for "&lt;EM&gt;live video unavailable&lt;/EM&gt;" in quotes, you'll find there are 28 threads on this topic, with most of them involving the newer Google Nest cameras (battery camera, battery doorbell, floodlight camera, and the new indoor camera), with multiple suggestions but no clear solution. I'm just another customer, and can only wonder whether it's a design flaw, defective cameras, or a weakness when running on battery power.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you tried it with the camera plugged in with the enclosed charging cable, that almost suggests a defective camera.&amp;nbsp; (Did you have the cable plugged into the bottom of the camera with the cable feeding towards the front?&amp;nbsp; Several people have posted here about having it plugged in wrong.&amp;nbsp; If it's plugged in, when you check the "Battery" setting, it should say "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol and no charging percentage.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You could try contacting Google Nest Support at &lt;A href="https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp&lt;/A&gt;. Judging from some of the other threads, they may ask you to restart or factory reset your camera.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or if you bought it from a retailer you could try returning it for a new one.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It certainly seems like a defective camera if you can't get a live view in battery mode or when plugged in, and can't set up zones.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If you are having issues with your Nest Cam or Nest Doorbell, I would suggest that for now, restart them like you're doing if you wish, but this is a known issue we are looking into.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I recently purchased the Nest Doorbell (Battery) and have been having issues with the livestream.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It seems to record fine as i get notifications when something happens in my defined zone, and when someone presses the doorbell i can view the live feed but i can't seem to view it "On Demand" or when something happens within the defined Zone. Only when someone physically presses the doorbell.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried restarting and resetting on all devices but it only seems to work again for about 5 minutes before it stops and this is across mobiles, tablets and google nest hubs.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone else having this issue or can suggest a fix?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

By doing this, it should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.&lt;/P&gt;
