Help choosing a Nest Doorbell

Can anyone tell me if a wired Nest Doorbell is compatible with my transformer? I need to know it will work when I am gone and the battery does not die unexpectedly. I know how to change light fixtures and wall outlets but I’ve never worked with a doorbell.

If you want a wired Nest doorbell, you might want to wait for Google Nest's promised new one:

Hi Jeran.

I have tried to respond back to you but the Google platform does not seem to be working well.

My doorbell that hangs in the wall contains a sticker that says it is a 16 VAC product. I assume the wired model will work with my home doorbell; am I correct?

My home is not occupied 100% of the time and therefore I am concerned that the battery would die before I could charge it again.

Are these doorbells as easy to install as proclaimed?

Nest Doorbell (battery) can be powered with wires delivering 8 - 24 V AC, and at least 10 VA, 50/60Hz, worldwide. Here is a great link to get in contact with our Nest professionals.

@PSHomeowner how's it going? The Nest doorbell (wired) doesn't have a battery that can last long, unlike the Nest doorbell (battery type). The required voltage for Nest doorbell (wired) to work with your home's doorbell system is 16 to 24 V AC (North America) / 12 to 24 V AC (Global), for the power 10 to 40 VA (North America) / 8 to 40 VA (Global) and for the frequency 50 to 60 Hz.
