Home/Away working great but, is there a way to get notified ONLY when BOTH myself AND spouse are away from home?

Hi BKWhb,

Thanks for posting. You may disable the "push notification" from the settings of the Nest App or Google Home App then leave the Home/away assist option turned on.

I'm not sure this solves my issue... I want the push notifications. I just don't want them when my spouse is home.

Hi BKWhb,

We're sorry for the trouble this issue caused you. No worries, we'll check our options here. A few questions: What app are you using? What nest devices do you have? Have you checked if you and your wife have the same settings of home and away assist?

The home switches to Away after the last person leaves with their phone, so if someone is still at home whose phone’s location is used to determine home status, the home won’t switch to Away. Hit this link for more info.

Also, double check the device used to determine if you're away or not. You might want to check your wife's settings.

Ok... think I found the problem. Her phone was recently upgraded and had not been changed in home/away assist.

Should be good now.

(We primarily use Nest App, and Google indoor & outdoor cameras)
