Can the nest hello doorbell be permanently run through the USB port

Can the nest hello doorbell be permanently run through the USB port? I ask since the terminal screw connection is not working. I only get a blinking green status light using terminal screw connection, but it seems to work fine when attached through the USB port.

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be. I would love to help you find a solution to this issue.

It is not recommended as the Nest Hello requires more power than that long term. We have a Power Requirements article that should help explain.
Is the USB method still working for you?
