topic Flaw- full access to all home members in Cameras and Doorbells

I’ve seen this asked many times but absolutely no answer given. There should DEF be a way to give members limited access within the home…such as control lights or certain devices but not change all settings, add others, or even remove the original owner!

It seems such a simple solution being able to control what devices can each member use or level control they have. I mean in google drive you can give access but people can’t edit. This is the same thing.

huge problem that should be fixed. let me know if there is a solution to this.

Hey Tatertot,

Anyone who joins the customer’s local Wi-Fi network gets an option in the Google Home app to join the home. This action doesn’t give the person the access to the customer’s devices, but it sends a request to the current home members. Once an account is already added as a member, all the home members have the same level of access. There’s no owner of the home. You can check this article for more information.

We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. We suggest you send feedback by following the steps on this link. Let me know if I can assist with anything else, otherwise I’ll be locking this thread after 24 hours.

Best,

Alex
