new nest doorbell (battery) will not connect to alexa

Just installed my new nest doorbell (battery) and it was easy to install and works great. HOWEVER, I was under the impression from sales information that it would be compatible with my Echo Show. None of the directions for connecting the doorbell using the Alexa app seem to work.

Does anyone know a work around to make it work with my Alexa device? If not, does anyone know if Google is working on a solution to this issue?

Unfortunately, it's not supported

"Not all Nest products, Amazon products, and Smart Home Skill integrations mentioned in this article are available in all countries. This feature is not currently supported on the Nest Cam (battery) or the Nest Doorbell (battery)."
