Battery powered Nest Cam idle not sensing anything

I have 3 battery powered Nest Cams set up. All charged. 1 is connected to power and will sense movement, record it and notify me. The 2 others are fully charged and mounted on their magnetic plates, but will not sense any movement or record events. When I manually select the camera it states idle, so I select live view and it shows but won’t record. What do I do?

We have had a Google Nest Camera (Battery) for 15 months, plugged in with the optional power cable, with a Nest Aware Plus subscription. It records 24/7 and does a good job of detecting events. However, if we unplug it, it goes into "Idle" mode and does not detect an event if we walk right in front of it.

If your camera is running on battery power, I think it will only record if it detects an event, even if you set it to "Live":

"The Nest Cam (battery) must be connected to a power source to have 24/7 video history. If your camera is battery powered, it will only have event video history, even if you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription."
