Google Nest doorbell wired 2nd generation unable to dismount

the doorbell mounts into the saddle with two tabs in the saddle and the mount clicks in place. I need to separate the doorbell from the saddle so I can check the wiring because even though the doorbell rings the chime doorbell does not connect to my phone. I can't see or hear anything other than the chime.

Brad, thank you for checking in. I still need all the assistance I can get. I have two issues

1. the doorbell doesn't connect to anything except the chime, which it rings. No images and no talking.

2. I may have made an error in wiring but I cannot dismount the doorbell from the base: there is no set screw and no apparent way to dismount.
