    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey there, just to get this in context: I pay 5 or so bucks for a monthly Nest aware sub, and then Google’s official recommendation for changing WiFi credentials is „reset to factory defaults, delete all your data and reinstall“!? You gotta be kidding me…&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/276036"&gt;@Tlcjen&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you change your Wi-Fi router/modem, Google Nest's recommendation is to set the network name (SSID) and password on your new router/modem to the same values used on your old router/modem, because updating Wi-Fi setting is challenging on most Google Nest devices,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you can't do that, then Google Nest's recommended process is to remove the Google Nest device from the Google Nest app or the Google Home app &lt;U&gt;while you are still on the old Wi-Fi network&lt;/U&gt;, then do a factory reset, and then re-install on the new Wi-Fi network. &lt;P&gt;I understand that factory resets can be frustrating to deal with, but they do clear up a lot of issues when they are suggested steps to take. I just wanted to follow up on this to see if you gave it a try and to see if you got anything worked out on this at this point.&lt;/P&gt;
