Nest Camera Create network BUG

I've been roaming these blogs/helpdesks for days but still haven't found a way to break the endless cycle of bugs.

Hopefully someone here knows the answer 🙂🤞

The problem: After succesfully setting up my nest camera (wired indoor, bought a month ago) it worked really well at home.

But now we moved and I'm trying to configure it again and whichever thing I do, it always fails to set up the nest network.

I deleted my home network and then started the usual setup program. It succesfully scanned my QR code and set up the camera- all until the last step which is setting up a Nest netwerk on my wifi router. But there it always crashes to set up the network and says to try again. After +50times it keeps failing. On iOs, on web, on multiple devices it keeps failing to set up the network.

So I cannot connect the camera... Which makes it pretty useless 😢

I've tried multiple things:

A factory reset does not work.

A router reset does not work.

Trying to install it on other WiFi networks either does not work.

What to do? Any help would be appreciated 😁🙏

I bet you need to remove all the items in nest from the old IP/router. Move to your new location and reinstall. My guess is Nest still thinks those items are dedicated to your old set up

You may need to contact Support.

Google Nest does not make it easy to change Wi-Fi settings. If you change your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password, Google Nest's recommended process is to remove your Google Nest device(s) from the Google Nest app or Google Home app while still connected to your old Wi-Fi network, then do a factory reset, and then re-install while connected to your new Wi-Fi network. If you fail to perform the first step, then you can get various errors.

If this is your situation (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp), you may need assistance from Support to get past Google Nest's roadblock.

Oh my god, that would explain things 😮

It's pretty **bleep** that changing Wifi networks is such a hassle because those are some crazy steps 😂 I thought I did all the right steps by first deleting my old home before setting up a new one. So that didn't do the trick apparantly...

Ok, I'll go through customer support and hope to figure out how to solve it.

Hopefully moving Wifi networks gets easier because I move around a lot 😅

The old Nest app could apparently do this much easier. Fingers crossed that feature is added back into the next Home update *hint @Google
