Visitor announcements not working

Hi! I have seen a lot of older (1+ year) posts about this issue, but nothing recently/for the new Nest Battery doorbell. My visitor announcements won't work. The chime outside works fine, and my personal results are turned on for all of my available speakers, but still nothing. I know the electronic chime won't work since I don't have it wired (which truly makes no sense to me and is tbh p frustrating), but if I don't have any sort of audio trigger to my bell being run it's....not very useful. My phone certainly gets the push notifications, but that's it. I don't always have my phone on me, though, and I live with my parents who aren't going to be checking their phones to see if someone's at the door. Just curious if there are some workarounds I could try to rectify this. Thanks!

I have the same issue- doesn't make sense that I can't get an audible notification when someone rings the doorbell and I'm not home. Only difference is my system is wired, not battery.

Same. I need audible notifications on all my speakers that Someone or motion detected at the door I get push notifications only. I need it to be announced on my speakers.

I may have figured it out, although the notification doesn't seem to be consistent. I can get it to ring once, although it doesn't play the sound I selected and doesn't repeat if the doorbell is rung more than once.

My wired nest doorbell used to work. Then suddenly it no longer notifies any of my speakers in the house. It even used to announce who was at the door. Now nothing. I have checked all the speakers settings are correct. I have checked announcements are turned on. I have even removed, factory reset and re installed my doorbell in nest app. But still nothing. Push notifications work fine but I cant get any of my speakers to work with it.

Do not disturb is turned off.

Visitor announcements turned on

All of the devices are on the same account.

Any ideas anyone ?

I still haven't got an answer and now additionally, a full 2 weeks after installing, it's out of battery????
