I figured mine out. Do you have a smart watch. As soon as I take my watch off Bluetooth it fixes everything. Maybe this will work for you.

Been having the same exact issue with no idea how to fix it. Along with the sound messing up, it also messes my phones microphone. No idea what to do.

I am having the same issue, either I have to restart my phone or clear the cache in the Google Home app and clear memory on my Samsung 21 Ultra. If I'm in my truck and check my battery operated doorbell I show a call on my truck display that I cannot disconnect from. I cannot use my voice to text, nor can I watch any videos because the audio is messed up. I turned off my bluetooth and then turned it back on and everything seems to be back to normal. Hope the fix the problem in the next update!

Hey there,

Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,
Brad

We should not have to restart our devices after checking our doorbells, every single time. Nor should we have to clear cache, clear phone memory, and/or turn off bluetooth to reset the doorbell audio problem.

Restarting your device is not the same as a factory reset, but it is definitely the first suggested action if your device isn't working as it should be.

I do know the difference between restart and factory reset thank you. I have to restart my phone after I check my doorbell, every single time. So if I check my doorbell three or four times a day I have to restart my phone every single time because there is something wrong with the app. The microphone or something stays open on the home app not allowing my audio to function properly on my phone

You shouldn't need to restart it that often, but if you're experiencing multiple concerns, then I would ask for you to please fill out this form, and a higher tier of support will reach out to you once it has been filled out and submitted.
