1st generation wired door bell wall plate mounted on the wrong side

Accidentally mounted the doorbell on the wall plate upside down and unable to use the release tool to mount it correctly.

Any suggestions anyone?

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. I would only really suggest using the tool that came with it. What is the reasoning that it is not able to be used to take your Nest Hello off the wall mount? Please let me know.
