How can get the Nest battery doorbell when pressed to make a chime on the Ring Chime plug in

The information on the ring sales page says it works but I am at a loss as to how

If you're talking about the Ring Chime Plug-In Adapter sold by Ring, I think it works only with Ring doorbells.
