doorbell chime doesn't work all the time inside or outside the house like it used to.

This has worked for year and just lately we are having this issue. If I push on the doorbell just right, it will ring five times as I push the button, and then not work again. What can I try to fix this?

I am having a similar issue! I press the button and it won't ring, then try again and it works...... about to pull it out and check the wires. Mine is about 5 years old now. I have the original wired door bell.

Thanks for posting here in the community. I know how confusing it is when you have this kind of behavior to your indoor chime. To confirm, were there any recent changes in your wiring? Were there any recent power outages?

Give these steps a try:

Restart your Nest Doorbell.
Double check the wiring at the back of your Nest Doorbell and the wiring inside your indoor chime.

no resent wiring changes and no power outages. I have tried the idea's you suggested other than restarting the Nest doorbell. How do I reset it?
