Neat doorbell wires 2nd gen

I just installed the new nest doorbell the video works but the chimes do not. I verified wiring was secure and even switched wires. I believe the transformer is 10-16 volts. I thought it would work but I suspect it is not providing enough voltage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Working with a Emerson C8204 chime.

I had a similar problem with my wired gen 2 doorbell today. The voltage was 15.8 VAC and the camera etc. worked just fine but the mechanical chime inside would not work. I was about to return it for a new one due to a "defective chime puck" but I decided to unmount my transformer. When I did that, I saw it was rated as "5V 10VA". I went out and got an Hampton Bay 16VAC 30VA transformer ~$20 and installed it, and after that the indoor mechanical door chime started to work. Btw, the measured voltage on the new transformer is around 17.8 VAC.
