Why is Google Nest sending forum updates from Dec. 2021 today?

Twice today now I have received forum updates from Google Nest for replies posted on Dec. 3, 2021. I checked the message headers, and both were sent by Google Nest today; here is part of the header for one, with my email address replaced by underscores:

Just now I received a third Google Nest forum update email, for a reply posted Sept. 27, 2021. Google Nest, something in your forum is malfunctioning.
