Update Wifi of Nest Outdoor Cam

Hello -- I've painted my outdoor cams and so the QR code & setup code are no longer visible. I do have the serial numbers of the cameras. Is the only way to update the wifi settings by connecting it to a PC/Mac? Why in the world would Google/Nest make it so difficult to update wifi settings?

I'm pretty much stuck, since I can scan the QR code or setup codes. So, yes, I do still need help. I do have the serial numbers of the cameras.
