Google Nest App not working on Samsumg Ultra 23 phone

The App installs, tap the app

Asks me to allow permissions on phone

Goes to google authorization home screen and stalls out and kicks me back to google search window in browser

Tried on iPhone and its fine.

Have tried all troubleshooting methods seen in this thread:

I finally got it to work by factory resetting my phone and reinstalling the nest app
