I thought you had 2 doorbells, but apparently you have only one, and when you re-installed it, you did so as a separate device and left the old instance out there in the Google Home app. I suppose that will work, until your Nest Aware history ages out. I don't have any experience accessing history on a doorbell that no longer really exists, and I don't know if Google Nest just allows it to exist in its dormant state. I guess you'll find out as time goes by.

But there is no way to transfer the history of your old instance of your doorbell to your new instance of your doorbell.

Is there any way to restore history when factory resetting a doorbell? Mine stopped working after a few months, and factory reset it per conversation with support. Now I have 2 doorbells in My Google home, one with the history, and this new install with no history. Any way to get the history to show on the new install so I can remove the old one?

I still have the old install on the Google home app that has all the history showing. Is that the only way to keep the history? I'm signed up to Nest Aware, so seems like it should be able to do this somehow

Thanks for confirming. I had another old doorbell I left in the app for a while so it should work.

Is there any way to do a feature request here? As long as the history isn't stored locally, not sure why they wouldn't be able to switch it between instances of the same device on the Google home app
