Google Nest Doorbell and iPhone 12

Does my Google Nest Doorbell camera and my iPhone need to be on the same network to get notifications? I am not getting notifications for the doorbell camera today but do get them from the Google Nest Camera mounted on the front of my house. Discovered my phone and doorbell camera were on different networks. Secondly, I am using the Nest app and the Google home app. Do I need to use both or should I delete the Nest app and go with Google Home app. I have 3 Nest products (Nest thermostat, Nest indoor camera and Nest outdoor camera) and 3 Google Nest products (wired Doorbell camera gen 2, wired outdoor camera, and battery camera but hooked up to power.

Normally you would want to be on the same Wi-Fi network when at home.

You need both the Google Nest app AND the Google Home app if you have Google Nest products that are installed in both apps, which you do. We've had to use both apps ever since getting a battery camera 20 months ago.
