How do you connect a Nest Camera with flood light to an external power supply?

I want to connect a Nest Camera with flood light to an external power supply.

The you tube video shows the power supply coming through the external wall.

The store lists waterproof cables and connectors for the previous version of the Nest camera. Is there similar for the nest camera with flood light?

Unlike previous Google Nest Outdoor Cameras, which have a weather resistant cable that plugs into an outlet, the new Google Nest Camera with Floodlight--per the Google Nest Help website-- "is designed to replace an existing floodlight and requires a connection to your home's power..."

I want to be able to connect to an outside power source without drilling a hole in the wall.

I'm just a community member, but when I looked up the info on this new floodlight camera, it looks like it's a fixture that mounts directly on a junction box (like one that you might have for an existing floodlight), and you connect the wires from this new fixture to the wires in your junction box. I have reviewed to installation videos. They just cover "hole in the wall" installations.

Would it be possible to drill a hole in the wall bracket to insert the cable in from un derneath?

I would suggest using the product as it was intended. If you need too, please reach out to a Nest Pro for some assistance with this installation. They would most definitely be able to help you out. I do not have any of the skills required to instruct you on what to do.

Not getting any useful answers here. I do not need to drill a hole through the wall as there is already an external power supply and I will simply run the cable along the outside of the wall.

Surely someone has done a new installation using an external power supply?

Is there a picture of the wall mounting that would show whether I could drill out access for the cable?

It looks like Google is going to lock this thread, so I thought I'd comment one last time. Below is a YouTube link for a guy who wired his new Google Nest Floodlight camera to an external power source. He doesn't show the details. It seems he purchased a round electrical junction box and an external power cable. He mounted that electrical junction box on his wall, ran that external power cable to that box, and wired the camera fixture to that external power cable. (It looks like he's using some sort of electrical plug that I don't recognize.) I suspect you're on your own--without support from Google--in doing this and meeting electrical code for your area. It seems this should be no different than wiring a conventional floodlight with an external power cable running to an external power source.
