Nest Hello no longer works !

the nest hello camera no longer works. Last night we smelled a particular smell, it was the door chime which was still powered and therefore overheated...it's not normal for such an incident to happen! what would have happened if I wasn't there to unplug the chime? What can you do for camera replacement?
