Nest Doorbell (Battery) Disconnecting from WIFI WHEN Setting Up via Google Home with iPhone

Current Setup....
- Nest Doorbell - Battery
- Connecting to a Netgear RAXE300 router at 2.4Hz WIFI network
- Google Home apps at iPhone XR - iOS v16.6.1

Current Status...
- Nest Doorbell - Battery <-- fully charged.
Had been restarted or went through Factory-Reset.
- Can connect to the router. Ping-able from the router WIFI-connected devices console.
- Line-of-sight distance from the router = LESS than 3 meters. NO physical obstructions.
- Used to be working for more than a year.

Current Problem...
- WIFI disconnection
- Disconnecting from its WIFI connection at EXACTLY WHEN Google Home STARTS to configure the Nest Doorbell.

ANY advise or tips or tricks for a possible resolutions.

Hi OD_aus,

Thanks for posting to the Community and sharing all the steps you’ve tried to fix the issue. Don’t worry; help’s here.

Please try the troubleshooting steps below:

Install the latest version of iOS (17.1) on the iPhone XR.
Uninstall the Google Home app.
Restart the iPhone.
Reinstall the Google Home app.
Save any video history on the device, if any. Follow this guide.
Unmount the Nest doorbell, and then locate the reset pinhole on the back of the device.
Connect the Nest doorbell to the USB cable and power adapter, then to the power outlet.
Insert and hold the pin (you can use an unfolded paper clip or a thumbtack).
1. At 10 seconds, the status light will blink yellow four times, and you’ll hear a countdown tone.
2. At 12 seconds, the status light will be steady, solid yellow while the doorbell starts the factory reset, and you’ll hear a confirmation tone.
Release the button. Your device will restore to its factory settings.
After the factory reset, your device will appear as "offline" in the app until you remove it. Also, the status light should be pulsing blue. If not, repeat step 3.
To remove it from the app, open the app, then tap Settings > Remove Device > Confirm.
Make sure the phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network (or mobile hotspot, if available) as the selected network for the Nest device.
Bluetooth should be enabled, but it should not be connected to any Bluetooth devices. Disconnect any Bluetooth devices paired to your phone, such as earbuds, smartwatches, etc.
Cellular data should be turned off.
On the iOS device, tap Settings > Privacy > Local Network and turn on Local Network Access for the Google Home app.
Start adding the device back to the Google Home app.

A thousand Thank Yous master LANCE.
Two things where I went wrong or were inadequate in resolving my original Nest Doorbell-Battery WIFI connectivity.
1. Google Home apps
Forgot about this system process.
This is a must in most technology these days.
- Updated my iPhone XR to v17.1.1 (most recent)
- De-install/reinstall Google Home apps is a good thing.
2. Nest Doorbell-Battery Factory Reset
Previous incursions were NOT done properly.

SO our Nest Doorbell-Battery is BACK in action.
