If so, this is what Google Nest says a status light that is off means:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;"Your doorbell is idle and not detecting activity, streaming video or recording video.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Your doorbell was turned off manually, with a schedule or when your home automatically switched to Home.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Your doorbell is offline and can't detect activity or record video.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Your doorbell failed to update its software."&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9268073?hl=en&amp;amp;sjid=11432058180122036792-NC#zippy=%2Cgoogle-nest-doorbell-wired-nd-gen" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9268073?hl=en&amp;amp;sjid=11432058180122036792-NC#zippy=%2Cgoogle-nest-doorbell-wired-nd-gen&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you're just installing your doorbell, is the chime puck wired correctly? I’d like to dig deeper into this. Can you share the case ID from your interaction with the support team so I can check what happened?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Also, if you haven’t done so already, please&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://goo.gle/3FN7LUr" target="_blank"&gt;reset the Nest Doorbell 2nd gen (wired) to factory settings&lt;/A&gt; to isolate the hardware issue.&lt;/P&gt;
