Can you elaborate on the "wire broke" part? Are you talking about the little 3 inch extension wire that came with the door bell? You can always connect the doorbell wire coming from inside the wall directly to the camera. And if it isn't long enough then you should be able to make your own short extension and use electrical tape or small wire-nuts.
