old doorbell has broken.

can I simply swap to new doorbell and keep all the recordings from my original?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. We would recommend you to save the history of your Nest Doorbell if you're going to swap it. As long as you don't delete your Nest Doorbell from your app the event will remain in alignment with your Nest Aware subscription. You can add a new one while your old one is still there.

it is a shame though, that a company like Google doesn’t have the technology to allow for a seamless transition when its hardware fails.
