Hi,

I have a Nest Battery Doorbell which i have wired in recently. It was showing the plugged in and infity loop for battery. However today, it is showing plugged in with a battery percentage. It is not showing the infinity loop anymore and showing the battery percentage as 60%, 6days battery life.

It is wired in using a 24v doorbel transformer which is showing it has power going to it, and all the cables behind the doorbell are connected properly. Is this an issue with the doorbell? i wired it in so i can have 24/7 recording, but at this rate this won't be possible.

How can i resolve this?

I was using the same wiring for my nest wired doorbell previously which was working fine without an issue.

UPDATE:

I have just checked the app and it is now showing the infinity symbol again.

Do we know why the app is switching between the battery percentage and the infinity symbol? Is this the expected behaviour?

As a result, it is affected by the number of events and by cold weather.

And, as @tsebastian pointed out, it cannot support 24/7 recording because it is running off of battery power.

https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11830989

Hi folks,

@Amaar, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. You may reinstall your Google Home app to make sure you have the updated version. Also, please restart your Nest Doorbell and Wi-Fi router to refresh their connections to the Nest servers.

Let us know how it goes.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer and tsebastian.

Regards,
