I want to replace the existing doorbell with a wired Nest doorbell. The current doorbell isn't on the door, but on a wall to the left of the door. Will the camera work if it's mounted to the left of the door?

Thanks for hanging in there and helping answer my questions. The Doorbell Mount site has a long list of doorbell cameras to choose from so I think it would fit, but they're made on a 3D printer so maybe not the most elegant look.
Amazon has a black plastic plate to cover the hole left from the original doorbell as well as an additional angle wedge product. Those might do the trick a bit more subtly.

Wasserstein Angle Wedge

Minneapolis is my home town! (Go Gophers!) Thank you for helping me with this. It's a small thing, but I think doing it right will make a big difference. Cheers!
