Ok the reset for the Doorbell worked a treat!

THE google displays though after factory re-set still say they're linked to another account and I cant get it sorted? \\Kinda frustrating none of the good products have versions or names on the boxes they came in.

My husband just passed away, I work overseas.

The Google next doorbells and Google home device screens are all in his name and I don't know his unlock code, he knew all mine :-).

I sent a request to google to access his account, but they've asked for a court order.

Is there a simpler way to reset the nest doorbell, next max pro display etc to my google home? I've just set up my own account with new Nest floodlight cameras etc at the property.

Password security is obviously important but in this digital age when some one passes its a mess with no paperwork.

Some posts in this forum suggest waiting for up to 60 days until any Nest Aware subscription has expired, and then attempting to reinstall.

Hi BKNY10018,

Thank you for posting, and I really appreciate the help, @MplsCustomer. I'm sorry for the inconvenience that you have with your Nest Display; this could be frustrating to set up.

I just want to double check. What type of Nest Display do you have?

If you have a Nest Hub Max and it still shows the message that it is linked to an existing account, please follow the below instructions:

Factory reset the Nest Hub Max (again).

Create a new home structure.

Leave the Nest Hub Max offline for more than 48 hours.

Set up the Nest Hub Max on the new home structure.

Let me know if this was helpful.

Regards,

Byron
