Can't add Gen 1 doorbell to Google Home

I have installed a gen 1 doorbell. I can see it on the nest app but can't see it in the Google home app. I have a gen 2 doorbell, an outdoor camera and a nest max hub that I can see.

Any tips? Reading other posts none of the options seemed to work.

Any help welcome!!

Are you logging into the Google Nest app using the "Sign in with Google" option with the same Google Account you are using to sign into the Google Home app? And are you accessing the same Google Nest "home/structure" in each app?

Thanks for taking the time to try and help. Yes, same account (if by that you mean the same Gmail account).

I'm not sure I understand the home/structure question?

When I first connected the doorbell I subsequently noticed that I had 2 nest accounts. They were both called Home. It was the other one that had my nest hub maxs on it.

So renamed that one (to avoid getting confused), removed the doorbell from the other, reset it, added it to the other home and then deleted the redundant home. I then renamed the remaining one back to Home, which is what my Google Home is called.

I'm not sure what you mean by 2 Nest accounts. You couldn't have two Google Nest "homes/structures" with the exact same name, but, for example, you could have one named "Home" and one named "Home " (with a space at the end).

The name of your Google Nest "home/structure" displays under the word "Home" (and alternates with the temperature) near the top of the home screen in the Google Nest app, near the upper left corner at the top of the home screen in the Google Home app, under the word "Home" (and alternates with the temperature) near the top of the home screen on the home.nest.com website, and near the upper left corner at the top of the home screen on the home.google.com website.

If you have more than one Google Nest "home/structure", then there should be some sort of dropdown indicator where you can select which "home/structure" you want to see. We can't see that dropdown because we have only one "home/structure".

Thanks for this. Not sure what I did but suddenly today it is showing and all working!!
