My fast forward and rewind have stopped working.

My fast forward ad rewind have stopped working. It just started a few days ago. I try to fast forward or rewind and it freezes.

Same on iOS can only watch at the start of an event can't skip through it without it restarting

Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router.
Reboot your Chromecast, router and casting device.
Toggle the Wi-Fi off/on on your casting device.
Turn off power saving mode.
Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
Perform a reset on your Chromecast.
