Chromecast Google TV blue square

I have the newest Chromecast with Google TV.

While streaming a show from the native apps, the picture dims (into the background but continues to play) and a blue rectangle appears on the screen. At this time the remote doesn't control the app anymore. I can only exit and restart the show.

The first time I thought it was the remote batteries (since the blue rectangle kind of looked like a battery). I replaced the batteries and everything started working again.

The last time it happened (I was using Paramount+), I had to exit and renter the app several times to make it go away. I did not replace the remote batteries.

Does anyone know what the blue rectangle/box is for?

Could you post a picture of the issue? And were you the only owner of the Chromecast?

When it happens again, I will post a picture. Yes, I am the only owner of the Chromecast; purchased new a few months ago.

It hasn't happened again, but considering it happened twice, I'm sure it will happen again. I don't have any additional information or pictures to help troubleshoot at this time.
