Plugged in new chromecast. I see nowhere where it says what version of chromecast it is. My TV says download the app on my phone. I have it. But can't get anywhere after that. It has a tab that says connect smart things, but nothing shows up under it. Yes the chromecast is on, the wifi is working.

I am sorry about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to set up your Chromecast? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know it can be a bit daunting to get set up when issues arise. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

Have you seen this article on how to set up the Chromecast?
Are you unable to see the Chromecast in the Google Home app, or do you just get an error when you select it?
What color is the LED light on the Chromecast?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
