I have an older flat screen TV that's not a smart TV I bought a Google chromecast for it so I can stream from my phone wat am I doing wrong I got wifi at the house can u help me

Where are you stuck? Are you getting any error messages?

Your TV does not have to be smart to work with Chromecast devices. But, you DO need a WiFi network that is connected to the internet. It can't be one of those shared networks (like in schools or apartment buddings) where you connect and then login using a webpage.
