Welcome to the new Nest Community Forums! I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues casting from a mobile hotspot. According to this article, mobile hotspots are not a recommended network type for Chromecast. Some phone's mobile hotspots work fine, while others cannot connect or are extremely spotty. We would recommend a more stable, consistent connect for Chromecast.
