Stream existing Netflix account from iPad

I own a recently purchased Chromecast with Google TV replacing an older chromecast device which still works.

All set up, no problems using my google account.

My son has an existing Netflix account. He was able to cast his Netflix on his ipad to the old chromecast but can't cast to the new Chromecast with Google TV, As far as I know, he does not have a google account.

What needs to be done to put this right?

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that casting issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I know these connection issues can be confusing. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

Can his iPad see the Chromecast with Google TV as a casting option?
Is he able to cast from another app, such as YouTube?
Can he cast from another device, such as a computer or phone?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
