Chromecast from laptop to TV connection?

It states in the start up advice that it will work with any TV with a HDMI port which mine does, but does that mean that my laptop that I want to connect it with has to have a HDMI port to? As my old laptop does not have a HDMI port!

If it does have to have one to work has anyone no any other way I can connect my laptop to TV to use Chromcast?

Hi BadGirlBinge,

Laptops are very different from TV's and the majority of them will only have HDMI or other video out ports. You would need to have a graphic card that also has video in ports before trying to use a Chromecast.
